“Cooking is my way of taking care of people”
Her journey was never born from a detailed plan, but from the desire to learn more about the art of Portuguese cuisine. At 18, pots and ingredients ceased to be the backdrop of youth and became her destination. The path was already traced in her DNA, with a mother who was also a cook and the fascination of a paternal aunt who, in the 1970s, had the honour of cooking for the Kings of Spain. Between these two references grew a sacred respect for ingredients and the act of cooking. Without formal culinary schools, she became self-taught with an unconditional love for the craft.
She began her professional journey in 1996, joining the kitchen of a local restaurant. Six years of intense learning, a strong pace and the consolidation of her own culinary identity followed. In 2002 came the boldest step: opening her own restaurant in the heart of Matosinhos. For 18 years, this house was more than a business: it was a space for sharing, where family heritage met the maturity of someone who cooks with soul.
Everything changed when Covid-19 hit the restaurant industry and forced the Chef to abandon the dream of continuity in 2020. That painful process did not remove her resilience to return, and so in 2026 she opens a different concept, bringing to people's homes and companies all her knowledge and love of traditional Portuguese cuisine, with the commitment and support of her family. The dream is reborn, and her passion for cooking gains a new life.
